About Solasia Pharma

Solasia Pharma was established with the mission to expedite patient access to unique Western oncology therapies through the development and targeted commercialization in Japan, China and other Asian countries. Solasia’s investors include MPM Capital, Itochu Corporation, and Kyowa Hakko Kirin Co., Ltd. In May 2008, Solasia acquired Asia rights to its first product, Sancuso® (granisetron transdermal patch) from ProStrakan. Solasia is currently undertaking clinical development of Sancuso® in Japan and China. In February 2010, Solasia sublicensed Sancuso® rights to Kyowa Hakko Kirin Co., Ltd. for the territories of Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. In March 2011, Solasia licensed Asia rights to Darinaparsin, a novel mitochondrial-targeted agent being developed by ZIOPHARM Oncology for the treatment of various hematologic and solid cancers. To date, Solasia has raised approximately $29 million in financing.
